I remember a time when I noticed a drop in the average visit and the amount each patient was spending with me - and upon investigation, I was able to track it back to my PT's not doing a great job in the initial assessment at managing expectations.

Never take for granted that patients know what is happening when they arrive. People come with so many false beliefs about what Physical Therapy does - that unless we set their expectations from the get-go then there could be a less than smooth transition to a complete plan of care.
